Introduction
Our first official wedding show as vendors – and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Arcadia Academy, located in Arcadia Missouri, was originally built as a high school but has acted as a hospital, girls only college, a convent, and more in it’s over 150 year history. Recently purchased by it’s current owners in 2023, they’ve continued to operate it’s current businesses and restaurant – and have opened it for weddings & events! As new owners, this was their first wedding show too.
The Show
Jack and I made the drive (about 3.5 hours) out to Arcadia on February 10th for the show – we were surprisingly one of the first vendors to arrive. After setting up, we took a short self guided tour around the property (and I of course had my camera).
As other vendors started to arrive, we started seeing plenty of familiar faces which was awesome and definitely reassuring.
We got to meet some amazing couples and network and catch up with vendors from all over, but it wasn’t an overwhelming amount of people – the perfect first show! Plus we got to setup right beside our wooden floral besties, In A Lily Bit Designs.
Check out some of the photos I took throughout the day below:
Conclusion
For our first show, the Arcadia Academy Wedding Showcase was definitely a success! Since this one, we’ve actually already attended another (which you can also read about) and are planning to attend more, so stay tuned.
